724pix Announces Low Cost P2P Online Photo Solution
August 2004, 724pix announces it is developing a P2P version of its
popular online photo ordering service. This service is expected to lower
service costs for large volume labs. With the existing ePrint service, photo
labs are charged for transfers to the 724pix server. ePrint P2P eliminates the
need to transfer files to the 724pix server, reducing costs. Files are only transfered
to 724pix when the photo lab's servers are experiencing difficulties or if the web uploader
is used for ordering.
The only real draw back to this service is that the photolab needs to have a high speed
connection. In most cases a T3, T1 or satellite connection is recommended. Although a
yearly commitment is required, the value for the money is exceptional.

ePrint FTP works as a gateway between photo labs and consumers, providing an online solution for receiving
orders in a secure, easy to use and convenient way. Customers will find ordering prints a breeze, even when
they don't have the time to drop off or pick-up film. Ordering can be done from the comfort of home or the
office.

724pix releases new eAlbum hosting service
February 2004, 724pix releases it's new eAlbum hosting solution. With this newest
service, photo labs can now offer photographers a way to showcase their digital proofs online.
Photographers are able to sell their photographs to customers online and have their print orders
sent directly to the lab for fulfillment. Everything is done in one simple package. Labs can set
prices for photographers based on many factors. By event, monthly, yearly, by image, commission or
even by usage. This service gives the lab full control over hosting costs and orders. It even has

724pix introduces Print@FujiColor
January 2004, A new company called 724pix Inc has entered the online photo
industry with it's Print@FujiColor software. In a combined effort with Fuji Canada,
724pix has created a software package that allows customers to upload images directly
to Fuji Frontier owners across Canada for printing. The solution is a great way for
photo labs to test the e-Commerce market place without having to invest thousands of
dollars up front. Print@FujiColor is available as a desktop application or web browser
application.
There has never been such an affordable way to take web orders than this. Unfortunately,
it is only availble to Canadian Frontier users currently. But there has been some talk of a possible
US and non-Fuji lab version.
